The Disgusting Critters books are easy to read non-fiction about, well disgusting creatures. They all really make me laugh, but especially the Head Lice one and although the creatures may be considered disgusting, the characters in the books are all cheerful and friendly.

Pocket-sized and a little old fashioned, there is something very charming about this field guide to mushrooms. And the photos are really detailed.
